We are a group of investors who deposited money with an organisation called Knight Wazir Corporation/ FIERREZZA JARDINE as an investment. The head, Mr Atif Naz, has now disappeared since early June 2008 and we believe our funds amounting to approximately £25 million pounds and/or profits may have been misappropriated. This firm started in the UK, but later moved its operations to Dubai (Knight Wazir Commercial Brokers LLC) and is regulated and authorised in the Republic of Panama however remains registered in Dubai, UAE.
We believe there were approximately 500 investors in total. Investors were recruited by representatives of Knight Wazir, and we were offered returns of 1 to 5% with a maximum risk to initial capital of 5% per month. Investors received monthly statements for several years showing fund growth and profits, and from these were actively encouraged to invest further sums. It now appears that these statements were falsified and the fund operated at an overall loss for many many months/years.
It is believed to have conducted it's trading operations in Dubai through Quest (51A Street, Villa 62 Al Rashidiya Dubai-UAE) who is the appointed representative of Danish bank Saxo Bank. We also understand that a Mr Waseem Yaqub has been given a Power of Attorney over the assets of Knight Wazir. To date, no specific proposal has been made to the investors or verifiable explanations as to where there money is and how much exactly is left.
It is our firm belief that by the disapperance of the owner of Knight Wazir and the lack of any information from his company or other associates, this amounts to significant fraud having been committed and we personally stand to lose our money, as well as many other investors, some of whom had their life savings deposited with Knight Wazir.
